The Level 4 Certificate in Aesthetic Practice will provide you with the knowledge and understanding to gain a safe route into the aesthetic industry.

It is the foundation route to progress onto the level 5 Certificate in Aesthetic Practice.

This qualification provides a specialist work-related programme of study which provides breadth and depth of knowledge and understanding, along with practical skills required in the aesthetics sector.

Course Content

The QUALIFI Level 4 Diploma in Aesthetic Procedures for Skin Rejuvenation is made up of 58 credits which equates to 580 hours of TQT (Total Qualification Time)

Course Units

Health, safety and hygiene for aesthetic procedures
Client consultation for aesthetic procedures
The biochemistry and biology of cells
Skin morphology and the inflammatory response
Skin disorders and diseases relative to aesthetic practice
Optional Units – 3 minimum (but must include unit AP301 Skincare to support aesthetic procedures) The additional modules are:
- Dermaplaning
- Superficial Peels
- Microneedling

Pre-Course Requirements

For this qualification, applicants must be aged 18 or over.

For direct entry to the QUALIFI Level 4 Diploma in Aesthetic Procedures for Skin Rejuvenation the unit AP301 Skincare to support aesthetic procedures will be selected as one of the optional units to ensure learners have the essential underpinning knowledge for the various aesthetic procedure units within the qualification.

The aesthetic practitioner must have a First Aid at Work qualification or equivalent and be able to carry out the functions within SFHCHS36: Basic life support and know where to access life support equipment as identified in the complication management plan.

We can provide this course if required. A full day Qualsafe accredited Level 3 Certificate in Emergency First Aid at work PLUS anaphylaxis management certificate for only £80.

The course theory content will be delivered online via a training portal. All policies and procedures are available on this portal and will be covered in your induction, including our complaints procedure.

All course payments are non refundable. The course must be completed within a maximum of 12 months and the assignment deadlines are set alongside your tutor. If the 12 month timescale is not met, EDIT Academy Ltd reserves the right to end the training contract with no refund provided.

Completing the QUALIFI Level 4 Diploma in Aesthetic Procedures for Skin Rejuvenation or the QUALIFI Level 4 Certificate in Aesthetic Practice (when combined with the QUALIFI Level 4 Certificate in Anatomy and Physiology for Aesthetic Practice) will enable learners to progress to:

What is the difference between this qualification and a CPD qualification?

Although CPD qualifications are insurable and are still available, these courses are not regulated and are not internationally recognised.

When the new regulations come into force you may be required to have a Level 5 & Level 7 Certificate in Aesthetic Practice to administer injectable treatments.

If i’m already trained, will I receive a discount?

Prior learning will be assessed on an individual basis.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a method of assessment that considers whether a learner can demonstrate that they can meet the assessment requirements for a unit through knowledge, understanding or skills they already possess and do not need to develop through a course of learning.

You will be required to provide evidence of your current certificates.

NB: Prior learning and achievement must be current i.e. you must have been practicing all treatments for the last three years.
